In accordance with the Center’s Board of Trustees Decree No. 1 of 2021, applicants seeking registration as arbitrators or mediators must meet the following criteria:
Be a natural person with full legal capacity.
Hold a university degree.
Demonstrate good conduct and an excellent reputation.
Possess relevant experience in the non-banking financial activity related to their registration, meeting at least one of the following:
Minimum of 10 years of experience;
Minimum of 7 years of experience for master’s degree holders; or
Minimum of 5 years of experience for Ph.D. holders.
Successfully complete the training programs and courses designated by the Center.
Have no prior convictions for felonies, misdemeanors affecting honor or trust, or any serious crimes.
Have not faced disciplinary action or been barred from practicing any profession in the three years preceding the application, except for warnings.
Application Requirements:
Submission of a detailed CV along with the application form.
Payment of an application fee of EGP 300.
Application Review Process:
All applications will be thoroughly examined and reviewed by the Center.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview.
Exemptions from Personal Interview:
Applicants are exempt from the interview requirement if they meet any of the following:
Government officials as defined under Law No. 106 of 2013.
Individuals who have served as president, vice president, or board member of international, regional, or local bodies related to banking, non-bank financing, investment, or credit for a minimum of two years.
Judges of the Supreme Court or equivalent judicial authorities.
Former managers of arbitration and mediation centers established under international or regional agreements or law.
University professors specializing in banking, non-bank financing, investment, or credit.
Professionals with experience serving as arbitrators in four or more arbitration cases or mediators in at least four mediation procedures.
Fees and Validity:
The registration fee is EGP 5,000 per financial activity and is payable once upon registration.
Registration is valid for a period of three (3) years.
