The Advisory Committee of the Center is composed of seven distinguished members, each possessing extensive expertise in arbitration, dispute resolution, and non-banking financial activities. The Committee plays a pivotal role in supporting the Center’s mission by ensuring neutrality, integrity, and professionalism in all proceedings.
Mandate and Responsibilities:
The Advisory Committee is entrusted with several key responsibilities, as outlined in the Center’s Statute:
Deliberation on Referred Matters:
The Committee is authorized to review and decide on matters submitted to it in accordance with the provisions of the Center’s Statute, as well as any other issues referred by the Board of Trustees.
Arbitrator Challenge Decisions:
In cases involving the challenge of an arbitrator, a final decision shall be rendered by an impartial and independent tripartite panel selected from among the Advisory Committee members, as stipulated in Article 33 of the Statute.
Replacement of Arbitrators:
Should an arbitrator need to be replaced, the decision shall be made by a neutral and independent tripartite panel formed from the Advisory Committee members, in accordance with the provisions of Article 34 of the Statute.
Approvals as Defined by the Statute:
The Committee's approval is required in specific cases set forth in Articles 62 and 65 of the Statute.
